My 2 Cents on the CRM List of 50 Social Sites
Friday, December 12, 2008 at 05:07PM This is a great comprehensive list, but I must disagree with the "Every Business Needs" part of this thing. Yeah, it's a list of 50 sites, but it can all be reduced down to what commenters on this article have pointed out, that all of them are either relationship based and/or connection based.
My top recommendation is to read the Comments at the end of the article. Many make some key points that will be added to my own 'lecture list'. The one I would harp on the most is for clients to please remember that Creating a profile should not be the aim, your aim should be to Participate and to be active.
The last 9 on this List are under the category of Job Boards. From personal experience, half of the sites this article includes are just plain sucky and don't yield a lot of results. Notice Craigslist is not included, and appropriately so. See my rant about Craigslist under the Creative Industry Rants section of this blog.
